Dr.ir. Léon van den Oever is in 1971 in Breda geboren. Hij begon zijn muzikale carrière als zanger bij het Sacramentskoor, alwaar zijn interesse voor het orgel werd gewekt. Hij volgde lessen bij Fien Verkooijen, Eveline Jansen en Lambert van Eekelen en behaalde in juni 1994 het hoogste examen aan de Muziekschool Breda. Hij heeft bij diverse koren en kerken gespeeld en is sinds 1990 de organist van de Choralen van de Grote of O.L.V. Kerk van Breda.

In 1995 studeerde hij als elektrotechnisch ingenieur af aan de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven en in 2002 is hij gepromoveerd aan de Technische Universiteit Delft, beide op werk voor Philips Research. Sinds 2002 is hij werkzaam bij Philips Semiconductors op het gebied van mobiele telecommunicatie.

Dr.ir. Léon van den Oever was born in 1971 in Breda. He began his musical career with the Sacrament Choir, where he became interested in the organ. He took lessons from Fien Verkooijen, Eveline Jansen, and Lambert van Eekelen and passed the highest exam at the Breda School of Music in June 1994. He performed with many choirs and in many churches and since 1990 he is the organist of the Chorale of the Church of Our Lady in Breda.

In 1995 he graduated as an electrical engineer (MSc) from the Eindhoven University of Technology, and in 2002 he received the PhD degree from the Delft University of Technology, both on work for Philips Research. Since 2002 he works for Philips Semiconductors in the field of mobile radio communications.
